Long Term Care Costs Increase, Connecticut Residents Face Even Higher Costs

Results from Genworth’s latest Cost of Care Survey show that Nursing Home and Assisted Living Facility costs have increased. Since 2004 average costs for a private room in a nursing home have risen 17 percent to $76,460 per year. The fees for an Assisted Living facility have risen 25 percent during the same time period.
